Textured Leather

Pebbled Leather

Premium full grain cow leather, selected from the strongest and most durable part of the hide for long-lasting performance and durability. Embossed with the Kate Spade signature pebble texture for added dimension, a refined feel, and timeless, easy‑to‑love style. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

Fine Grain Leather

Authentic full grain leather with natural character, softened to create a subtle texture and supple feel and tanned for lasting beauty and durability. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

Classic Smooth Leather

Smooth, refined leather with a consistent color and finish, designed for everyday durability and easy care. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

SPECIAL LEATHER

Suede

Suede features a plush, velvety texture. With a distinctive napped surface, a raised, fuzzy texture helps create a soft, touchable exterior that, when brushed, produces a dynamic two-tone effect. Suede should be handled with care. If exposed to water, suede becomes susceptible to damage, including stiffening and discoloration.

Haircalf

Our haircalf uses the hair side of the hide, making it soft and plush to the touch. The cowhide retains the animal’s hair and is then printed with Kate Spade custom artwork. Each piece is unique—the natural direction of the hair causes natural variations in the article’s final look. Store in a cool, dry place. Remove surface dirt by gently wiping with a dry cloth, or have professionally cleaned.

Made in Italy, our snake-embossed leather was inspired by the hide of real, exotic snake. Our state-of-the-art technique provides the look and feel of true snakeskin. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

Shearling

Our shearling leather is crafted from premium skins with the wool naturally left intact, creating a soft, cozy feel and distinctive texture. Each piece highlights the natural beauty of the hide and wool, making every item unique. Store in a cool, dry place. Remove surface dirt by gently wiping with a dry cloth, or have professionally cleaned.

Metallic Leather

Created in select leathers and hides, metallic leather gets its sparkle from a foil finish applied to the surface of the grain, resulting in a distinctive two‑tone contrast or pearly glow. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

Shiny Leather

Created in various leathers and hides, our shiny coating provides a high gloss, lustrous finish. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

FABRIC AND WOVENS

Canvas

Our canvas is made from heavyweight cotton sourced from farms that use regenerative agricultural practices. Regenerative agricultural practices help to maintain and rejuvenate land, increase biological diversity and soil health, and could lead to increased carbon absorption. Take care when storing canvas styles—we suggest hanging the fabric in an upright position, not folded. Can be cleaned with a damp or soft cloth.

Tweed

Fancy yarns give a textured and cozy effect in our tweed. Each fabric used in the design of Kate Spade New York handbags is carefully selected for its color, texture, durability, and beauty. Tweed fabrics can be delicate and should be treated carefully. Avoid rubbing against sharp clothing. Please treat these fabrics with care to extend the life of your bag. We recommend warm water and mild soap on a clean cloth for removing most common stains. Please be certain to thoroughly test an inconspicuous area prior to actual stain removal to avoid uncontrollable variations in material reaction.

Straw

Our fabric and straw handbags are considered seasonal and do tend to wear more quickly. Please refer to the care tag enclosed to help you keep it in tip-top condition. We suggest stowing your handbag away from direct sunlight and heat, stuffed with tissue and stored in its dust bag when not in use. Try to avoid crowding your handbag when it is in storage to help maintain its shape and to prevent delicate straws from breaking.

Spade Flower Coated Canvas

Signature coated canvas has the durability of a performance material, but feels refined and luxurious. Crafted from a tightly woven canvas base and coated with our signature Spade Flower pattern. Store in a cool, dry place and clean with a damp or soft cloth.

Denim

Our denim is a cotton twill fabric washed from real indigo yarns to create our unique color. Note that colors may transfer to other items, and the hue of denim may fade with continuous wear or exposure to strong sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place and clean with a damp or soft cloth.

Mesh

Created in various leathers and hides, our shiny coating provides a high gloss, lustrous finish. Store in a cool, dry place and use Kate Spade Leather Cleaner to clean and condition.

Nylon/Polyester

Crafted from 100% recycled yarns in a tight, refined weave. Store in a cool, dry place and clean with a damp or soft cloth.

Faux Fur

An alternative to real shearling, our faux fur fabric is made from 100% polyester layered for a soft, plush texture. Careful handling required. Store in a cool, dry place.

Satin

Our satin fabric is a refined weave in fine, high shine yarns. Spot clean with damp cloth and store in a cool, dry place.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR OTHER PRODUCTS

SHOES

Keep your Kate Spade Outlet shoes looking new with these care instructions. Always store your footwear away from light and heat and protect them from rain and humidity.

LEATHER:

Depending on the type of leather, specific sprays or creams can be used but we do not recommend any particular brands. Customers should consult a local shoe repair shop or technician. However, for most leathers wiping (without undue pressure) with a dry cloth is sufficient.

SUEDE:

Suede requires specific sprays to clean and project a soft (suede) brush is enough to eliminate dust or dirt.

WATCHES

kate spade new york watches use a variety of materials and metals, with stainless steel being our main metal resource. Stainless steel is hypoallergenic and a most durable material. The battery in your kate spade new york watch should last approximately 2 years.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

When the battery expires, replace it as soon as possible to prevent any malfunction. In order to maintain the original pressure for water resistance, it is recommended that you do not attempt to change the watch battery yourself. Doing so may reduce your water resistance and void your warranty. Going to an unauthorized watch dealer may also void your warranty if changes are made. It is recommended to have your battery changed by your local authorized watch repair shop.

Shipping and labor charge is waived in California for repairs covered by the warranty.
